Victor Equipment

Our vendor partner Victor Equipment is a world leader in gas equipment and pressure control. The company was founded in 1913 by L.W. Stettner, a welder by trade, who had suffered the loss of an eye from a welding accident. He subsequently set out to design and build better, safer welding products. Stettner’s designs for welding and cutting torches and gas regulators were quickly accepted, and the original San Francisco-based Oxy-Acetylene Welding Equipment Company saw rapid growth. His “safety-oriented” designs resulted in numerous patents and other firsts, including spiral mixers, gooseneck nozzles, and safety regulators. In time, the company’s name was shortened to Victor Equipment Company. Victor Equipment’s product line, as well as the volume of their business dealings, grew steadily. By the mid-1960s, expanded capacity was needed, so manufacturing operations were relocated to new headquarters in Denton, Texas. Victor Equipment became an ESAB brand when that company acquired them in 2014.

Today, Victor Equipment is one of the foremost names in gas and safety regulator equipment. They provide superior quality and reliable products that excel in safety and performance. Their research and development have resulted in numerous product innovations, such as patented built-in flashback arrestors and reverse flow check valves for torches. They also offer oxy-fuel cutting and welding equipment, including oxy-acetylene and oxy-fuel welding and cutting equipment, torch handles, cutting attachments, straight cutting torches, gas regulators, cutting tips, welding nozzles, and cutting and welding outfits. Victor Equipment products cover the full spectrum of needs from general industrial use to the more demanding heavy-duty mill and foundry work requirements. Their gas apparatus line has the most extensive selection available from any manufacturer. Victor Equipment has led the industry in safety and innovation for over a century, and they hope to continue doing so for many years to come.
